Cet article montre comment le concept de performance globale qui concilie performances économique, sociale et environnementale, peut permettre aux institutions financières de recouvrer la confiance des investisseurs. En effet, un climat de défiance des investisseurs à l’encontre des marchés financiers s’est installé après la crise de 2008. Dans ce contexte nous défendons l’idée que les fonds d’investissement responsables, dont la performance doit être globale, constituent une solution à ce problème de confiance à condition qu’ils promeuvent des valeurs similaires à celles des investisseurs.
The research shows how overall performance can help foster trust in financial institutions.While a climate of mistrust amongst investors and the general public towards financial institutions is present since the 2008 turmoils on the financial markets, we believe that mutual funds adopting overall performance can help recover a climate of trust due to the implied balance between economic, social and environmental performance. More specifically, overall performance promotes values that are similar to investors’ values and could be used by responsible investment funds if they want to contribute to the restoration of trust in investment funds.
